Sharing of the Information Gathered on This Site
We share personal information about you, as required or permitted by law, with third parties, such as service providers who assist us in the day to day operations of our company in the administration, processing, servicing and sale of your loan. These third parties include among others, title companies, appraisers, insurance companies, underwriting services, processing services, printing companies, software providers, marketing services and purchasers of loans. Our policy is to require third party service providers to enter into confidentiality agreements with us, prohibiting them from using any personal information they obtain for any other purpose other than those for which they were retained or as required by law. We may also disclose information about you, when necessary or required, in legal and arbitration proceedings and to government agencies.
Safeguard Policy
Michael J. Toner will coordinate this Safeguard Policy for the Setauket Financial Center. At the Setauket Financial Centter we feel that iddentity theft is the chief risk to the protection of confidential information conveyed to us via the internet. Owing to the security measures we list below, we feel that we have reduced this risk to a level of "moderate". We also feel that fraud, malicious access and invasion of privacy are risks. Again, we feel that because of the security measures we list below, we have reduced this risk to a level of "moderate".
At Setauket Financial Center we will upgrade our anti-virus software every 18 months. This will lessen the site's vulnerability to hackers. In addition, programs such as Word Press and Windows will be upgraded as soon as new versions are made available.
With regard to links, so called "open redirects" will not be used.
Logfiles will be scanned regularly to detect code that doesn't belong. Suspicious plugins will not be installed.
With regard to passwords, only those passwords that are rated "Strong" will be used.
All third party vendors must pass through three levels of approval of their computer security measures before Setauket Financial Center will utilize their services.
No third party vendor will be allowed to search the entire Setauket Financial Center server.
Third party vendors shall have references with experience.
Third party vendors shall give assurances regarding security responsibilities, controls and reporting.
There will be coordination with third party vendors of incident response policies and notification requirements.
Setauket Financial Center will regview and update the safeguard program annually.
What Cookies Are and How They Are Used
A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Our site has programs that use cookies to maintain session information to remember who you are as you go from page to page. To protect your privacy we do not use cookies to store or transmit any personal information about you on the Internet.
